How it works
The Story of the Day
Each calendar date has one featured story. When you tap Give me fake news for today, you see the story for your date, so a new one arrives at your own midnight, wherever you are. Everyone who has the same date sees the same story.
Surprise me
Surprise me and Another story pick a random story from the archive. We avoid repeating a story you have already seen during your visit until you have seen them all.
Sections
Stories live in sections such as Corporate Chaos, Technology Gone Wrong, Everyday Madness, Impossible Discoveries, Food for Thought, Animal Kingdom, Relationship Department, Imaginary World Affairs, Wallet Watch, Campus Chaos, Around the World and Pop Culture Pandemonium. Use the menu at the top of every page to browse them.
Sharing
Every story has Share, Copy link and Copy headline buttons. Shared links show a preview card that is clearly stamped “Fictional satire — not real news”, so nobody mistakes a joke for a headline.
Trend-inspired stories
Some stories are inspired by what people are talking about that day. We never write about real people, brands, films or teams: instead we joke about the everyday craze around them, such as office attendance on a big release day or a city that suddenly forgets how to work during a final.
Reporting a story
Every story page has a Report this story link. If several readers report the same story, it is hidden automatically while we review it.
